What does a Gaggia E24 Classic 5 Year Part Warranty mean?
A 5-year part warranty means that for the first 2 years, you have both parts and labour covered within your warranty. The warranty is a return to base warranty, so the customer is responsible for returning the machine to us. If a fault is found, we will repair and return the goods and cover return postage.
Please remember modifications installed by us carry a one year warranty. The machine itself still has the 5 year warranty cover as described here.
For the 3rd, 4th, and 5th years, only the parts are covered, meaning defective parts will be replaced free of charge, but you will be responsible for the cost for labour and carriage (both directions) or postage cost when sending out replacement parts directly to you (after we have conducted a video call to identify the problem).
The warranty applies, provided the product has been handled properly for its intended use and in accordance with the operating instructions.
What is Excluded? The warranty does not cover for the losses consequent in nature, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of business. The Warranty does not apply if:
- The purchase documents have been altered in any way or made illegible.
- The model- and/or serial number on the product has been altered, removed or made illegible.
- Repairs or product modifications and alterations have been carried out by unauthorised service organisations or persons.
- The product is being used for commercial purpose.
- The defect is caused by abuse or misuse of the product or by environmental conditions that are not in conformance with the recommended operations of the product.
- The defect is caused by connection to peripherals, additional equipment or accessories other than those recommended by Gaggia.
- The unit has been damaged - including but not limited to damage by pets, lightning, abnormal voltage, water or fire, natural disaster or transport accident.
- The product is defective due to wear of parts, which can be considered as consumable parts by their nature. (for example the plastic steam knob).
- The product does not function properly, because it was not originally designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorised for the country where you use the product.
- If the product has been used, other than for its intended use.
- Where the part has become defective due to scale build up or lack of maintenance. This applies to the solenoid valve blockage, steam faucet dripping and steam wand dripping which are all caused by scale build up. A blocked up grouphead is also a sign of lack of maintenance and is not covered by the warranty.
- 5 year warranty valid for Classics purchased from 22nd April 2025.
E24/Classics purchased before 22nd April have a warranty for 3 years. (2 year labour and parts, + 1 year parts only)
